The Marrakech medina is a maze: with a local guide you see the main sights without getting lost and understand what you're looking at, instead of chasing directions on your phone between scooters and sellers.
The classic route, on foot and in a small group, takes in Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the artisans' souks and Jemaa el-Fna square, with the Koutoubia as a landmark.
